Assistant Project Manager / Field Engineer

Newport Beach, CA - November 17, 2017

The Assistant Project Manager/ Field Engineer’s primary job duties include consulting with clients and staff regarding all phases of a project including planning, pre-design, design, bidding, construction, and post-construction. The Assistant Project Manager / Field Engineer is responsible to provide professional services to our clients within industry standards of care.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Review and analyze data to develop conclusions and recommendations and present to client
  • Review and analyze contractor bids and make recommendations to the client
  • Initiate, coordinate and manage consultants, contractors and other personnel associated with an assigned project on behalf of Abacus

Qualifications:

  • Familiar with all stages from planning to post-construction phases
  • Experience working in the construction industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in project management, construction management, or a related field
  • Relevant experience with educational projects types

Preferences:

  • Experience 3+ years and education in engineering, architecture, construction management, other technical degree and/or experience
  • Lives in Orange County
