Description of the project
Abacus provided cost estimating services on the Surprise city hall which consists of a four-story, 134,000 square foot facility which houses city staff and council members. A 419-car parking garage was provided including 24 accessible parking spaces. Also included is a single story, 26,000 square foot facility designed to meet future growth needs for Surprise. This single story facility will be leased by the city for approximately 10 years until the space is needed for city personnel. Project scope includes all related site development work. Ground breaking for the city’s first ever city hall proper occurred June 2007 and construction completed April 2009.
