07 / 10 / 2017

Abacus provided construction administration services for the Town of Gilbert, Arizona on the recently completed Heritage Trail Middle Segment project. The approximately 2-mile-long trail was designed along an existing canal, and is to be utilized by the public for recreational use. Abacus’ services during construction of the trail included leading and documenting weekly construction meetings, construction observations, construction administration, monitoring services, and providing daily reports. Abacus was in constant communication with the landscape designer and contractor to ensure the highest quality work, as well as compliance with Town of Gilbert standards and regulations.

The completed trail features new signage, signaled pedestrian crossing, ramadas, drinking fountains, pet stations, decorative concrete and landscaping. These amenities have created a more suitable space for bikers, runners, walkers, and equestrian riders, thereby improving the quality of life for local residents and visitors.
