ABACUS was hired to provide Program Management services for a new Operations Building for APS, a major electrical utility in Arizona. The new building will be 4 stories and consist of approximately 220,000 gross square feet. Adjacent to the building will also be a multi-level Parking Structure. The new building will need to be highly redundant, achieve a Silver LEED certification, and consist of the following spaces; Call Center, Call Center Training, System Operation Control Room, Control Room Support Area, Support Equipment Area, Operation Support, Outage Coordinators, Interconnection Development, Transmission Planning, MDH Mappers, Customer Account Management, Management Suites, Building Services, Asset Management, Cafeteria, Conference Rooms, Multi-Use Meeting Spaces, Auditorium, Restrooms and Circulation.
